There are two schools of thought when it comes to backyard fruit-growing in North Central Texas. One view is to plant fruit that appeals to you, without really knowing whether those crops are adapted to your part of the universe. Nobody really graduates from that school. Sad and frustrated, they all drop out after a couple of years.
